Organizing committee
2007 is a significant
moment for Russia and Yakutia with reference to such events as a
celebration of the 375th Anniversary of Yakutia Unification with
Russian State, a foundation of Yakutsk, International Polar Year
(2007-2009 гг.) and the International Forum on Preservation and Usage of
of Arctic Wild Life. The 12th Arctic Ungulate Conference provides an
excellent opportunity to evaluate current populations of rare and
important species from the view of ecological experience accumulated in
a study and preservation of Arctic nature including traditional
Northern land use.
