12-th International
Arctic Ungulate Conference (AUC) will be
arranged within the framework of International Forum on Preservation and
Using of Wild Life of Arctic Region (Yakutsk, August 8-13, 2007) and it
is dedicated the 375th Anniversary of Yakutia Unification
With Russian State and Yakutsk’s foundation to facilitate international
and inter-regional cooperation in the field of preservation and usage of
biological variety as a guarantor of stable development, restoring of
traditions and forming an alternative management of nature on the basis
of ecological traditions of Northern nationalities.

Excursions
14:30 I group.
Tourist 2 days travel by bus to Amga region for visiting horse breeding
base. It is situated in 200 km. towards southeast on Amga river.
Siteseeing: aboriginal yakut horses herds, national food,
including kumyss, meat and fish dishes, deciduous forest and alaases
landscapes of Central Yakutia, picturesque banks of Amga river, for
those who want to fish – fishing; riding on horse.
14:30 II group.
Tourist 2 days travel by bus to mouth of Buotama river – in 120 km. from
Yakutsk. Siteseeing: forest bisons nursery brought to Yakutia in April
2006 from Canada and also the landscapes of Central Yakutia, Lena river.

Stay of tourist groups at the excursion places.
